AboutWelcome to ENG 3UI website where you will see all of my work during my time in grade 11 English. Part of the curriculum was presenting and doing your work digitally, so the people visiting my site will see all my digital portfolio; from info graphics, to posters, slideshows, a map and blogs. The course was based on the theme of human rights, so you will see some of my work connecting to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

My ReflectionThroughout the duration of grade 11 English, I learned a little bit more about myself. I am terrible at self-regulation, but I also noticed that I did not have methods to keep myself organize. Sometimes in class I did not focus 100% because I talked with my friends and got off track. I learned throughout the course that I have got to stop worrying about others seeing my work, a self-conscious trait I have. I discovered even though it is obvious, if I put 100% effort in my work, it will pay off in the end. When I got back assignments that I worked really hard on I was proud of myself for the mark I got. I became aware of my strengths and weaknesses in the English course; I need to work on self-regulating myself, I make better eye contact during presentations when I know what I am saying, I need to work more on grammar, focusing on sentence structure and the tense that I am writing or talking in, I need to work on being more confident in myself, so that I can express my ideas and comments, and I learned new words using the thesaurus. At least, I got to explore more of the digital world; my partner and I for the political tyrant seminar made a cartoon video which was an unfamiliar but interesting experience, because I often do not do voice recordings. I wish there was slightly more reinforcement on the due dates; to encourage me to keep on track, so my assignments are handed in on time, but that is my personal opinion. Like discussing more on the assignments together with the teacher. I know that one day I have to seek help, but I am self-conscious so I do not express myself often because of that. In all honesty, I hope that I can carry on what I have learned in this class into grade 12, where I can continue to develop my English skills. Mrs. Linnerth your a great teacher, making a friendly and welcoming environment. Thank you for teaching me ☺
